Méribel is the central valley of the largest ski domain in the world, Les 3 Vallées. With 600 km of high altitude groomed pistes, 174 modern lifts and snow cannons covering almost half of the pistes, the statistics are just as impressive as the skiing. Méribel is one of the most family friendly ski resorts; with a full range of other activities which you only find in the best resorts, together with a large range of bars, restaurants, shops and great après ski to suit all ages.
The initial development of the resort was a British and French partnership and this acceptance of English speakers continues to this day. Méribel is built to strict architectural codes of alpine sloping rooflines, timber and stone cladding and is surrounded by forests or grass and timbered slopes, making it one of the most attractive large high altitude French ski resorts. Méribel boasts an exciting variety of indoor activities in the Olympic Centre as well as a full range of outdoor sports that can be enjoyed in the summer months. About Me
After working a ski season in France more than 20 years ago and then working in some fabulous countries around the world, I returned to France in 1997 seeking an attractive, high altitude resort with great skiing and long glorious summers and chose Meribel to build a chalet. More recently, my wife and I decided to make Méribel our permanent home and raise our family. We love the contrast of the frenetic winter ski season & the stylish international atmosphere with the relaxed summers spent swimming, walking and eating wild strawberries from the forest with the kids. Our children will grow up bilingual in a spectacular environment that offers a wealth of opportunities and a fantastic outdoor lifestyle.
I offer extensive experience gained in real estate as a Director of CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate firm, as well as comprehensive knowledge of the ski holiday rental and tour operator sector. I also maintain a large network of English speaking architects, interior designers, builders, caretakers and rental agents who can help you to make the most of your second home or investment.
In addition, I can introduce you to English speaking French accountants and tax advisors, local banks and mortgage brokers to ease the process of buying in Meribel.
